More than a decade since this album was recorded, the Malaga's Flamenco Biennal invited Jorge Pardo y Chano Domínguez to organize a live show with the music they arranged as a tribute to Paco de Lucia.
As saxophonist said, "I was working on a studio recording for Chano Dominguez's first album, I took up an idea that haunted me for some years the head, play the music of Paco de Lucia without guitar and with musicians who know this music or even play with him". And Málaga's Festival has rescued this tribute, as part of the cycle they dedicate to Paco.
Jorge Pardo expresed his feelings this way: "It was a surprise how that music sounded new, unclassificable and yet familiar". And that was exactly how it sounded that evening in Malaga's Playa de el Palo.
